Reactor is a kind of equipment to realize the reaction process, which is widely used in chemical, oil refining, metallurgy and other fields. The reactor is used to realize liquid-phase single-phase reaction process and liquid-liquid, gas-liquid, liquid-solid, gas-liquid-solid and other multiphase reaction processes.
The types of commonly used reactors (see table) are: ① tubular reactors. It is composed of empty tubes or filled tubes with large length and diameter, which can be used to realize gas phase reaction and liquid phase reaction. ② Kettle reactor. It is composed of cylindrical vessels with small length-diameter ratio, often equipped with mechanical stirring or air flow stirring devices, and can be used in liquid-phase single-phase reaction process and liquid-liquid, gas-liquid, gas-liquid-solid and other multiphase reaction processes. The tank used for gas-liquid reaction process is called bubbling stirred tank (see bubbling reactor); The slurry reactor used for gas-liquid-solid reaction process is called stirred tank slurry reactor. ③ Reactor with solid particle bed. Gas or (and) liquid pass through fixed or moving solid particle bed to realize multiphase reaction process, including fixed bed reactor, fluidized bed reactor, moving bed reactor, trickle bed reactor, etc. ④ Tower reactor. Tower equipment used to realize gas-liquid or liquid-liquid phase reaction process, including packed column, plate column, bubble column, etc. (see color picture). ⑤ Jet reactor. It is a device that uses the injector to mix and realize the gas-phase or liquid-phase single-phase reaction process and the gas-liquid and liquid-liquid equivalent multiphase reaction process. ⑥ Other non-typical reactors. Such as rotary kiln, aeration tank, etc.
